November 3, 2026 General Election
The City of Grand Terrace is a general law city consisting of five members, one Mayor and four Council Members; Council Members are non‑partisan, elected at‑large, and each serve a four‑year term. Newly elected officials are sworn in on the second Tuesday in December of even‑numbered years, provided certified election results. General Municipal Elections are conducted in November of even-numbered years and are consolidated with the County of San Bernardino. The City of Grand Terrace will hold its next General Municipal Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the Mayor's seat and one Council seat.

CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- United States citizen
- Registered voter and reside in Grand Terrace at the time nomination papers are issued
- 18 years of age or older on or before election day
NOMINATION PERIOD:
The nomination period for the November 2026 election opens on Monday, July 13, 2026, and closes on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

EXTENDED NOMINATION PERIOD:
If nomination papers for an incumbent officer of the city are not filed by Friday, August 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. then the nomination period for that incumbents' elective office only is extended for five days, to Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Incumbents are not allowed to file during the extended filing period.
